COVID-19 – service update

Please note that while the majority of our staff are now working remotely to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are opening our offices in Ottawa and Toronto on a rotating basis. Our office in Montreal will remain closed until further notice. 

Montreal: Closed

Ottawa:  Wednesdays

Toronto: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Your Carnet will still be processed, but it may be shipped from a different regional office and not available for in-office pick-up. A representative will contact you with specific information.

We will continue to do our best to meet all deadlines, but please note that same-day service in any region may not be available. If you have any questions or concerns, or if you need to speak to a Carnet representative, please email: exportservices@chamber.ca. We thank you for your understanding.

IMPORTANT NOTICE – CARNET HOLDER IS RESPONSIBLE TO REVIEW TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS RELATED TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC:

 The Canadian government, as well as many foreign governments are restricting the movement of people and goods across their borders. Please consult the government of Canada link for more information concerning travelling abroad during the pandemic: https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection/latest-travel-health-advice.html#a3

It is your responsibility as the Carnet holder to determine if the reason for your travel is deemed essential based on the information and restrictions included on various government sites. If you are denied entry into or exit from any territory, you, as the Carnet holder, are solely responsible for all costs including payable duties and taxes, penalties, fines and all other charges incurred as a result of your travel.

Your Carnet application has been received and will be processed by one of our Carnet representatives. By proceeding with this application, you are accepting the responsibility as set forth  in this Notice. If you wish to cancel your order, please contact exportservices@chamber.ca

Please note that Carnet sales are final. No reimbursement will be issued if you or your goods are denied entry into or exit from any territory following your decision to apply for a Carnet.
